Caesar'n Joey
Caesar...
If you are here, then it probably means two things:
a. You know me from somewhere and came to this website to see what I have done this time.
b. You love animals, and apparently, my teammate, Sangeeta Chatterjee, did a fine job creating such content (LinkedIn/Instagram/Ads) that brought you here to know more about us and Caesar’n Joey.
If it’s #a, then you probably know my love for Caesar and Joey, and you can skip this page. Chances are, you must have heard me rambling about these two hundreds of times! But if it’s #b, then kudos to Sangeeta and everyone who helped me turn this dream into reality -- at least in this timeline.
Now, before I tell you about this t-shirt brand, let me first introduce you to Caesar and Joey.
Let me take you a while back -- back in 2014, when I realized that my professional life was not going anywhere; I was alone, scared, felt defeated, and above all -- felt irresponsible for any serious responsibility.
I had just watched "Rise of the Planets of the Apes" by Rupert Wyatt on my system, and being an ardent fan of Andy Serkis and his performance, I was in awe of his portal of Caesar. After several beers later, I decided I needed to have my Caesar.
My family never had any animals.
None of my close friends ever had any pets.
So, to think of something out of the blue and still remember it the next morning when all the Tuborg and Milds had passed on from my system was nothing but bliss.
The next day, I brought Caesar home!
Nah! I didn’t bring Caesar home; rather, I brought my happiness, my life, my reasons for everything, my everything home!
If you ask me, I will tell you that I don’t remember those days when Caesar was not in my life. I seriously don’t remember the days before June 28, 2014. For me, those days were just a nightmare that I lived without him. After a couple of Old Monks, this is what I say to him: “Baba, all of my songs are for you!” And I really mean it.
... Joey
Well, writing anything on Joey is one of the hardest writing that I have ever done. I have tried on multiple occasions to write something about Joey but have always failed. In 2021, I even wrote a Hindi prose book where there is one entire poem dedicated to Caesar, but for all that is love and dear to me, I could not write anything about Joey. I always wondered why, and thankfully, I got the answer last year (in 2022).
One fine day, we three were on the ground. Caesar was busy doing his usual stuff, and Joey was trying his best to convince me to play ball with him. I, however, was busy clicking their pictures. How foolish of me! Anyway, the Sun had set down, and I decided to come back home. I started walking towards my home and called them to follow me. I turned and saw Joey had grabbed Caesar’s leash, and he was pulling him home -- just the way I do - slowly but firmly!
And then it hit me why I couldn’t write anything on Joey.
See, as a writer, I try to give words to my feelings. I try to complete things that I find incomplete through words, phrases, stories, and sometimes with emotions. But how would I complete something that is already complete? Joey is… He is complete in himself!
Joey barks, howls, growls, cries, hugs me, kisses me, cuddles with me, and above all -- he is the only one who understands and accepts my love for Caesar.
Yes, it breaks his heart sometimes, and then he jumps, finds his tennis ball, and rolls it towards our direction, only to forget if he ever was troubled or jealous of us.
Every pet parent thinks that their fur babies are the best, and none of them are wrong!
To me, there is no one as perfect and beautiful as Caesar and Joey. Period.
Anyway, this brings us to this ‘About Us’ section.
Caesar'n Joey
You must have come across hundreds and thousands of t-shirt brands that sell great quality t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and other apparel. But what makes Caesar’n Joey different from the other brands is the fact that I live for my dogs! My life swirls around them and their likeness. So, whatever design that you might find here is either a part of my imagination, or I have found something that I thought would resonate with these two!
So, if you are an animal lover, just like me, and thank your stars for bringing a dog or even a cat into your life -- then I am sure you won’t be disappointed by Caesar’n Joey.
